| butter | 115g (8tbsp) |
| egg | 2 |
| molasses | 480g |
- butter 8" pan
- set oven to 350°
- whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt
- heat water to near boiling in pan, remove from heat, stir in cubed butter
- combine butter/water with dry ingredients
- add eggs one at a time
- add molasses
- pour into pan, bake 35-45 minutes until inserted toothpick/knife returns clean
